DO NOT BELIEVE THIS! it says the cover is machine washable- it isn't it is spot clean only just like the topper. How do they get away with a lie like that? I has a HORRIBLE smell to both topper and cover. so not happy.

More about this purchase
In addition to my previous review, may I say that many might want to put a regular mattress pad on top of the memory foam for a layer of softness and it does make for a feeling that most are used to in a mattress. They make toppers with memory foam AND a down layer, but if you already have a mattress pad/down topper, you can save money by just putting this on top of your foam topper. Great combination! Gives the support with some softness.

Great Product
I had used memory foam toppers for years until last year when I purchased a new bed and thought I would not need it with a new bed. I have scoliosis and a number of back problems which have gotten worse as I got older (age 68), My doctor had recommended a firm mattress, and he said (rightly) that you could always make them softer, but you could not make them firmer. After a few weeks, I realized I definitely needed softer. I tried several pads/toppers (alternative down/zone foam pad) and they all felt good but were not really for people with chronic back issues. Finally I decided to go back to what worked (memory foam). I wanted to buy a better one this time, rather than the Wal-Mart versions I had purchased in the past, and after some research and shopping, I selected this one, the Visco Isotonic topper. I brought it home and although it took a few minutes to get it "unwrapped," I had no trouble at all getting it in the cover. Some people have mentioned that it is smaller than the mattress and it is, but this is not unusual for any memory foam topper and I put my mattress protector over it and after you put the bedspread on it, you do not even notice. The important thing is that it is quality memory foam, very supportive, and at the same time comfortable and cozy. I have slept 3 nights on it and already my back is much better. I could care less about it being an inch smaller than my mattress or that it moves a little bit over a few days. (Again this is normal for toppers). I wanted comfort and relief for aching back. I am happy and satisfied. By the way, I think you should have a firm bed as a foundation for a memory foam topper. Thanks!

Isotonic Ultimate Memory Foam Mattress Cover
Too small for our Queen bed by 5 inches all around, comfort is great but looks like heck on the bed. This manufacture needs to be reprimanded for selling a pad like this.
