Mrs. Anderson's Pie Weights
Pre-baked pie shells often "bubble" up, shrink and crack during baking. These pie weights can help prevent this from happening because they conduct heat evenly and they hold the pastry in place while it bakes. The weights are washable and reusable and they come with their own storage container. They can be used in conventional or microwave ovens.

Useful Tip
For you novices thinking about getting these pie weights don't be deterred my the first review. Trie putting these into a cheese cloth "bag" when using. All you have to do is grab onto the knot in the cheese cloth to remove them. No worries about getting burned or having them roll out all over with tin foil or parchment paper.

Traditional Pie Weights
The only other review seemed to have a problem with the weights, but if you follow the directions and line the pie crust with partchment or aluminum foil you have no problem removing the weights. ( you need to let them cool before you store them again. )

Good idea... BUT
This was a REALLY good idea but poorly executed. It did do what it claims to do, BUT what I didn't think about was having to take them back out. You can't dump them out, you have to take each ball out one by one, BUT FIRST you have to wait for the darn things to cool!!! >:(
I found another brand that was on a strand that is so much better!
