Love, Love, Love It!
I bought the yellow one to replace my silver one that was 2 years old. There was nothing wrong with the silver one; I just wanted a different color. I use it weekly for desserts and such, but at Christmas it gets a real work out with cookies. It mixes the dough effortlessly. I tend to make about 50+ dozen cookies for the holidays, so I have put it to the test. My family members have been avid Kitchen-aid stand mixer users since the 70's. They are worth every penny you will pay for them! The 20% off coupon really helps, though. In addition to the functionality of them, they just look so cool on the counter-top. I have seen covers for them on the web, but I can't imagine who would want to cover it up. My husband bought this for me for Christmas. He didn't know it until I unwrapped it on Christmas morning. I thought he would think me crazy, but he just said, "Whatever makes you happy." I was shocked! He has said that he really likes it too. I bought my daughter the Pistachio one for Christmas, as well. I love the retro look of this appliance. I have the food grinder also, and it does a great job grinding meat and cranberries. I have used the grater and would recommend that too, if you don't have a food processor. Do Not Wash the whisk in the dishwasher. The soap will discolor it. I was in a hurry to use the first mixer and tossed those instructions. When I got the new one, there was the warning. I have never been good at reading instructions. This is a tool for the serious cook!

I love KitchenAid. We have several of these stand mixers in the family. I ordered this for a friend for Christmas. The mixer had an issue with the first use. It would not turn off. She called the KitchenAid help number and they got the serial number/model number from her. They immediately had a new one in the mail to her. She returned the broken via mail and everyone was happy. The service tech was very helpful and courteous.

KitchenAid Mixers!!!!!
Any color you want + lasts your whole life=best investment ever. My mom still has hers after 25+ years of marriage, as is. I was so excited to receive this as a wedding present. Buy one, you won't regret it!
