I purchased 3- three shelf units and 3 single cubes. They were very easy to assemble. What was not clear on the product information is that you must have a backing on the unit, which is a piece of thin cardboard that can either be white or the color of the wood. I had to put one of the units in front of a vent, so I needed the hole, I cut it out with a box cutter.
The set up is great for my baby's room but not exactly safe. The furniture is set on top of carpet and it definitely needs to be anchored in to the wall. When my babe is a toddler he will surely take these light weight pieces of furniture down.
I love the way it looks and how it displays baby books and other things.

Very Poor Quality
I recently purchased the 3 shelf version of this item and was VERY disappointed with the quality. Having paid almost $100, I was hoping for a much more sturdy, long-lasting product. The shelves are not solid wood; they are made of a very thin fake wood material. I guess I should've paid more attention to the description, where it only describes the material as "eco-friendly". I was also suprised by the way they are put together -- with cardboard posts and peel-off 3M stickers (something that was never specified in the description). In addition, the directions provided did not correspond to the product, so it wasn't as easy to put together as it should have been. I would recommend against buying this product -- you can probably get more for your money at Ikea.
