Worked well until hinge broke
I purchased this (or very similar) simplehuman trash can from BBB about 3-4 years ago. It worked well until a couple of months ago when the hinge broke. Unfortunately I have no idea where my receipt is so I'm unable to take advantage of the 5-year warranty. My fault for not keeping track of it.
In the model I purchased, there is a separate interior trash can which is great because it is easy to remove and clean as needed. This also means that the trash bag does not show on the outside of the can.

For the price, I expected more.
I have had this for years and kept it because I spent so much on it. It has never been dented yet, I have rust stains on it....they don't come out. The plastic parts look dirty no matter what I do. It does work well still but ehhhh...frustrated...if I could just revive it...I really don't want to toss it but it got so ugly.

Great product...can’t go wrong!
I received this as a house warming gift and love it! It is a little pricy as far as trash cans are concerned and it’s not something you would typically buy for yourself. When we got it as a gift I was so happy. It matches our stainless steel appliances too. I buy the Simple Human trash bags for it and do not use off brands like Glad or Hefty. They do not fit as well and are not as sturdy. The Simple Human trash bags are very affordable when you use a BB&B coupon.
