Disappointing
I had the same experience as 2 previous reviewers. The plastic piece that holds the cutting wheel onto the handle broke into 3 pieces while cutting a wimpy, thin crust pizza. Probably used it less than 10 times before it broke. Calphalon needs to re-evaluate the durability of their current design.

Expected Better
We registered for this item for our wedding based on the reputation of other Calphalon products. We did, in fact, register and receive many Calphalon products. This one however, is one I wish I had not put on my registry. We were married at the end of September and at the beginning of February the entire wheel fell off the handle because it is all held together by a tiny piece of plastic that fell off in the dishwasher. It clearly states that it is dishwasher safe. I really think that the design of this item needs to be rethought since we are not the only ones that were taken in by the usual good quality of the Calphalon name, but the unbelievably poor quality of this item. Needless to say we now have to buy a new one. We won't be buying Calphalon this time.

Worthless!
I can't believe that a product from what is otherwise known as a reliable company is such waste of money. We were married in September and this item was on our registry. It broke last week. I had the same problem stated in a previous review. The part in the middle broke off and the entire wheel fell off the handle. Now we have to purchase a new pizza cutter when we had a chance to have all new kitchen items from out wedding. I trusted the Calphalon name and this was a huge disappointment. Do not buy this item. I wasn't even cutting a pizza. It fell off in the dishwasher!

This is a great pizza wheel--it's shape makes it much easier to use than regular ones, and it cuts through pizza well.
