I had read the reviews and this wine opener sounded like the best thing since sliced bread. Out of 10 bottles of wine, it pulled the cork out of 2 as it is intended to do. The rest of the corks were chewed up and I had to use pliers to get ahold of the remaining cork to pull it out. The wine opener has been returned.

I absolutely love this opener and am going to buy it for family members as they are amazed when I open wine with it. it's the best :)

Don't Waste your Money
This wine opener claims it may not work with newer, rubber corks. In fact, it did not remove ANY cork we tried it on, whether traditional or rubber cork. About all I can say positive is that it drills a decent hole in the cork. Then I needed an old-fashoined corkscrew to manually remove the cork. Forget this item; buy something else.

Oster Electric Wine Opener
No more pulling on the cork or wrestling with the bottle- this wine opener makes having a glass of wine effortless. I am an older, single woman who has bad hands and this makes it so helpful when I want to open a bottle. Be sure the opener is straight on the bottle or the bottle spins.
