Unhappy with this Product
I purchased this product in December and 2 months later I am very disappointed. It spits all over my clothes and starch builds up really bad. You can't get it off without scrubbing the plate. However, that is not recommended. I called Shark and they will not give me a refund. They told me using starch is not recommended. The instruction book does not say not to use starch. It actually says if using starch to wipe it down with a soft cloth periodically. Again, it won't come off. This product is not worth the money I spent on it.

Good buy for the money
I have had this iron for just over two years. Have only used distilled water when filling it so I haven't had a problem with discolored water, spitting, etc. coming from the iron. If you use tap water, you are asking for this to happen. The iron has performed great - lots of steam, doesn't shut off too soon, etc. I think it is about to give out on me though because it keeps changing the heat settings while ironing and turning itself off. I think it may be a connection problem where the cord meets the iron. For the money, this is a great buy, for about $1.25 a month for daily use, I am not complaining at all. I have had a lot of other products go belly up much sooner than that. which cost much more. I had a Black and Decker iron that I loved, used for many years and it died. So far, this is the best one I have found since then (and I have tried about 5 or 6).

Shark Professional Rapido Iron
This iron was great at the beginning. However, the fabric temperature gauge is not in a great spot or it needs to have a covering over it so it doesn't accidentally get pushed while ironing. Also, around month 7-8 the iron stopped heating up, it would shut off in the middle of me ironing, the thing just died! I've had Sharks before so it was surprising that this happened.

very disappointing
Bought this about a year ago, very impressed at first, iron got really hot, it produced a lot of steam, it worked really well. Then all of the sudden, a couple of months ago it started spitting all over my clothes. Once the iron has been on for a while it spits all over!! I've read other people's comments, Shark should do the right thing and rectify the situation. There's no way that a product should go to shambles like this after just a few months!! Ridiculous!!
