Great Product
Affordable and reliable coffee maker. I had no problems with dripping or spilling. Love waking up to the smell of fresh coffee so the programmable brew feature is great. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a basic drip coffee maker.

Flimsy and leaky
Bought this coffee maker based on consumer reports recommendation but you get what you pay for. Upon opening sealed carton there were loose plastic pieces that had broken off the flimsy plastic reservoir cover. We didn't think this would effect operation so decided to use anyway. Filled reservoir with water which immediately leaked out of the side water indicator all over the counter! This product was either manufactured terribly or is too cheaply made to survive shipping and handling!

A Real Work Horse
A year or so ago I decided it was time to purchase a fancy coffee brewing system. After shopping around I quickly learned maybe fancy isn't what I wanted or needed at all. So I once again purchased a Mr. Coffee Programmable coffee maker. What is the saying "If it's not broke don't fix it". My former Mr. Coffee lasted 10 years - good coffee to the end. Our new one is well broken in now and making coffee on time every morning. I do believe if there are problems with this equipment it is probably the operator not the equipment. Mr. Coffee is an excellent product.

Worst Maker Ever
I bought this coffee maker at a great price from BBB last year (it was $15.99 with rebate) but really wished I returned it. Every time we use it...either to pour water into the reservoir or as the machine is making the coffee it leaks all over. There are two oval shaped holes in the back of the water reservoir so when you pour in water (even very carefully) water spills out of the holes and all over the place. When the maker is turned on we found that if the actual glass pot isn't pushed in all the way there is another disaster - coffee everywhere. The glass pot doesn't seem to fit snug so that the coffee instead of having a nice steady drip it backs up and again....coffee spillage. I would not recommend this product. I suppose that's what you get when you pay for a cheap coffee pot. I wish I had kept my old maker! Now I am on the hunt to buy a decent maker and hope I don't make the same mistake twice.
Oh an additional note - we get Starbucks coffee and when we use this machine to make it...it tastes really bad. We use another machine and its great! Not sure if anyone else has had this problem ...I think it tastes a little 'plasticy'.
