I bought this for my son when he was starting college. I thought it would have been great when he left the room for all his valuables. When it arrived the lock was difficult to use. When we took it up to college the box did not fit the frame of his bed when we tried to put it on. Even if it did fit it would have been award in using it. My son uses a fire box and puts it under his bed in a colored container. He gets the stuff out when the roommate is out of the room. He also has a computer lock which he loves. He can take that to the library and keep it safe.

great for the dorm
I bought this for my dorm and I absolutely love it. It's attached to the bottom of my bed frame and I feel safe knowing it's not going anywhere. The only problem I have is finding a replacement lock after my roommate figured out the combination and destroyed the lock.

What a perfect idea!
I love this item. We purchased this item for our daugher in college. It attached very easily to the bed frame and even though it only comes with enough wing nuts for two screws it is very secure. It is large enough to hold lots of different item.

a great buy
I just purchased a dorm vault for my son going to college. I think this is a great ideal to keep your valuables under lock and key. It was so easy to install, anybody with half a brain can install it.
