Convenient and versatile
I'm not sure what happened with "CookingInTheMountain" as I have had not seen anything like that report with my pot.
I've used it to cook yams in the lower steamer and when the proper time came, added beans or Brussels sprouts in the upper steamer basket saving money with 'dual food' cooking. Steamed artichokes in the lower basket, steamed hot dogs in the upper basket.
Cooked pasta in the lower basket - simply pull the basket out and put the cover back on the pot so all the money spent to heat the water can help heat the kitchen rather then pouring it all down the drain through a colander, No need for a separate strainer in our small kitchen, either the upper or lower basket serve that purpose. The value for the price is, in my estimation, quite good.

great product
My husband bought me this 7 years ago when I wanted to steam shrimp for a new years eve bash and I absolutely love it. I use it for a lot of cooking . My friend used it for cooking fresh pumpkin and it turned out beautiful. Wouldnt be without it.

Dangerous
We have had this pot for a few months. Used it for pasta and it worked fine. My husband was boiling water to steam some shrimp in the pot and the glass lid shattered. Sounded like a balloon popping. Thank God he wasn't hurt. I would definitely not purchase again or recommend.

All I wanted was a good Pasta Pot!
I have purchased two of these Pasta Pots and the first time I used them, only boiling water for pasta, Both pots had rust spots all on bottom of pot. When I returned the first pot I decided to give Denmark one more try. As you see it failed too. We've even emailed Denmark to find out if these pots were just damaged or what? They have chosen not to reply to our email. Bed, Bath & Beyond have been great! They stand behind their promise to keep customer happy. I'm returning 2nd pot today and getting, I hope, a better Pasta Pot.
