Best Coffee Maker on the market.
Purchased this coffee pot on June 10, 2012. To date [Feb 18, 2013], I have had to wash the carafe once! Must be some kind of special glass. Stays clean week after week. Unlike other coffee maker carafes I have had, this one does not drip on the counter when pouring a cup of coffee. Makes a pot of coffee relatively fast AND makes it well; and it is hot. Not having all the automatic stuff makes it easy to operate without fail. I go one step further and never even use the on/off switch - just plug it in and unplug it when I'm through. The paper cones fit well and I've never experienced a pot of coffee with grounds in it from the cone folding over. Kudos to the designer. I haven't been able to find this coffee pot in any stores, not even Bed Bath & Beyond. Most peculiar. It's a great pot at a great price.

Great Coffee Pot!
My husband and I love this coffee pot and plan to buy another as a back up! We were sad to see all the negative reviews. We wanted a coffee pot, cone filter, no bells and whistles. We love the simplicity of this coffee maker. The programmable coffee makers are a fire hazard in your kitchen because they are plastic, electric, and the timer can overheat and cause the coffee pot to erupt into flames. We wanted a simple, safe, coffee pot that makes a good cup of coffee. This is it!

few other options
Cone filter coffee makers make the best coffee, but just try to buy an affordable one! Yes, this model's pretty cheesey, but I had one working every day without fail for four years (it just quit). The no auto-shutoff is kind of a pain, and it can be messy. But there's nothing else out there in a cheap cone filter electric brewer!

DON'T BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the worst coffee maker ever!!!! If I could've I would ahve given this coffee maker a 0. I don't know if we got a defective one or what, but we tried it three times and two out of those three times the coffee ended up everywhere, but the coffee pot. It was such a hassel! I would not recommend this to anyone!
