awful coffeepot
I had the same issues as some of the other reviewers about leaking. I am not a novice at making coffee, followed the directions, did my best to like my new purchase, but found that time after time I had puddles of water on the countertop and very little brewed coffee. My highly competent adult daughter had the same problem when she used this coffeepot. I returned it as defective.

Good not Great Coffee Maker
I agree with others regarding the water filter. Seems like it's not needed and nobody carries replacements. This unit does NOT leak if you simply empty your carafe and don't over fill the water tank. Makes great coffee!

Works great
We got this as a wedding gift and love it! Keeps coffee hot for hours and I love that I can set the carafe anywhere. It comes with a water filter that lays over the coffee ground basket. I got tired of dealing with it after a while since it's loose and another thing to rinse off every time I brew, so I just pulled that part off of the brew basket. Other than that, it's great!

Great coffeemaker!
My husband and I received this as a wedding present and we are very pleased! It is simple to operate, has a nice design, and makes delicious coffee. I don't use the reusable filter so I can't speak to how that affects the flavor, but I have been using the water filter and I certainly think that makes a difference and enhances the flavor of the coffee nicely. As far as the leaking issues some have mentioned, I have not experienced that. All in all, this is a great machine and I would recommend it wholeheartedly!
