The Bed in a Box makes a bed magically appear so guests can sleep comfortably in your home, even if you don't have a guest bedroom! This convenient bed folds to under 5" thick for easy storage, but when it's open, it provides a spring supported sleep surface that contours to the body thanks to a fire retardant, 2" polyurethane foam mattress. The cotton cover is removable for machine washing. Frame is made of durable tubular steel. Bed opens to 13" H x 31 1/2" W x 74 1/2" L. Maximum weight capacity is 275 pounds.

Do Not Purchase This For An Adult
First, some positives. The beds arrived on time and were well packaged. The bed is off the floor which makes it better than aerobeds for adults (as far as rising or lying down and for any draft or dust issues). They are thin, lightweight and easy to store. Negatives: The beds are too short for an average size adult. I am 5'5" tall and average weight. My feet hang over the end of the bed and it is difficult to roll over. Children should not attempt to open and set up or collapse the bed because the springs cause the legs and the middle part of the bed quickly snap shut. I blackened a fingernail by having a leg snap shut on it while I was attempting to open and set up the bed. The "mattress" is extremely thin. The cot itself is comfortable for those parts of the body which can fit onto it. It is extremely narrow and short.

It's better than an air mattress
My mother bought this exact cot, same box, same brand, in another state and it came with sheets that fit it. When I clicked ADD TO CART and no suggestion for sheets was offered I assumed that it too came with sheets, it didn't. Regular twin sheets fit it, obviously with plenty of room to spare but we made it work and my 12-year old slept on it. It's definitely better that an air mattress on the floor, and almost the same price for a good air mattress.

Happy grand daughter
Our grand daughter used to sleep on the couch or an air bed during visits, and never got much sleep. This last time she tried the cot for the first time. She's less groggy and much happier with it! I tried it out and she's right, it is very comfortable. Nothing like the cots I remember from boy scouts. Highly recommended!
