great concept, good coffee
Overall, I am happy with this coffee maker. It does the job, single or double cup of coffee, saves me from brewing and wasting an entire pot, or spending $$ on espresso. Easy to use, easy to clean. My only compliant, is that the coffee tastes just a little weak (?) even when I use 2 scoops per cup. I am not exactly sure what it is, but it doesn't have the same bold smooth flavor as when you brew a whole pot. But it's good enough!

iffy purchase
The coffee that was brewed was very good and it was worth the purchase; however, it stopped working after 2 weeks of use... Unable to figure out what happened with it.

great idea
I got this because it's only my dad and I here, and although we both enjoy coffee we don't sip it all day long, so a whole pot or even that size of coffeemaker is just a hassle. Also I tend to like flavored coffees more than he does. This solves all the problems, and brews quick. Reusable filters included is a definite plus.

Super value - works great
Great price, super coffee. Had a Keurig and the pump died. Didn’t want to spend a lot (again) so tried this one. The coffee is better, and it works simply and well. Fills the travel cups even WITH THE LID ON and the sip vent open – make it hot, keep it hot! Cups it comes with are fine and seal well, but I like to use my REI stainless travel cup which has a handle. TIP: Remove the custom base liner for a flat surface, if the bottom of your favorite cup doesn’t match the ones the unit comes with.
Nylon filters rinse well and easily. TIP: Grind your coffee at 5.5 (or 6 for French press). The filter is very FINE and so may overflow if you like it strong and put in a lot of coarser ground coffee. System is simple and easy to use. Each filter basket has its own lift-up handle. Or you can lift it out – IN swing-out frame that holds it - empty it and rinse them both. May drip a little after brewing - put an empty cup or a small bowl under the filter if you don’t clean it right away - it will be hot. For this this price it’s worth it!
