Good enough for an apartment
Pros:
-Keeps out bugs at least as well as the cheap screens our landlord installed in the windows (what more can we ask?)
- Lets a lot of light in and a nice breeze where there was none before
-Took less than 10 minutes to install
-Cheap!
Cons:
-Cheap looking, too.
-Still plenty of gaps for a few bugs to get in (the edges are rounded rather than squared off so the corners and the bottom are open).
-Does not stay straight - because the door is supposed to be easily stored, it wants to constantly fold up, so if you have the middle flat against the doorway, the corners lift up, and vise versa
- When you open it, the velcro that is holding it down starts to come off; it seems like it is more just for having your door open and not for going in and out.
This seems like a product that really would have benefited from the company hiring an actual product designer. The idea is there, but the execution missed the mark. Overall, I would recommend this for someone who wants a quick and temporary fix for an apartment building. If you own the place, just get a real screen door and permanently attach it.
