I use these tabs in the tank of a humidifier that has a filter - I have not tried them in the tank of my ultrasonic humidifier. I have tried several types of products to keep my humidifier tanks clean. Most work, some are dangerous/toxic. This one seems to strike a balance - no severe warnings about toxicity, yet does a good job keeping the tank and humidifier clean. I clean/sanitize my humidifier thoroughly at least once every 2-3 weeks, so these tabs do a good job between these cleanings. They definitely make a difference! Without using them, humidifiers are slimy or moldy in half the time. And they do not have any scent. Unlike previous reviewer, I put 1 tab in per week - instructions say that even if the tank runs dry, no need to add a new tab - residual product does the job. I have been using these tabs for 2-3 months @ 1 per week. I think they work just fine and no need to increase that. I don't want to use/breathe in more chemicals than I need to (just in case). So a bag of 15 tabs does last 15 weeks in my case.

Ultrasonic humidifier must
I purchased these for a new humidifier that required them.It would have been nice to recieve with the unit,but no such luck.They work great and solve the issue of mineral build up on the transducer that sprays the fine mist.They are made for most Sunbeam & Holmes units,the cleaning is easy after using.Some types have scent,but these don't.You need 1 tab for every fill,so in a dry climate 15 will only last 15days not 4 months as they claim.
