It's ideal for use at campsites and picnic areas where you often have to cook over an existing dirty grill grate. Fill the cast iron cooking cavity with meat, close the lid, lock in place and hold over a roaring fire. The slotted cast iron heats evenly and simulates a grill grate, allowing excess fat to drip away from the meat.
