Eats batteries
Pros: Large beautiful screen. Excellent features and clock sets itself. Remote transmitter has a LED screen to indicate temperature.
Cons: Eats batteries. Apparently the designers didn't take into account the Large power requirements of the Large beautiful LED screens. This unit should be re-designed with either a larger/different battery compartment or probably what it really needs is an alternative plug-in power supply with transformer. The box says batteries last "up to 1 year". I purchased in May and am returning in August after 3 sets of batteries have failed. La Crosse admits as much by stating that their #1 problem is run-down batteries.
