Does not work for pet hair
I live in an apartment with typical cut pile carpeting and two cats. This vacuum is terrible at picking up cat hair. It actually pushes it around into small clumps which I then have to pick up myself.
Also, you really do need to lift it to move; otherwise it just topples over. Disappointing.

More like a handheld
Quite disappointed in this product. I am/was the proud owner of many Shark products including the regular vacuum, the professional vac, cordless vac, and steam mop, loving them all. This "canister vacuum" is very small, with small attachments. I didn't realize it was going to be a handheld vac. I already have a dirt devil for that. I wish I returned the item within the given time frame, as it just collects dust.

Works for me...
I am a commercial flooring contractor and I use this in my business for smaller jobs and it has worked so well for us I am buying a couple more units today. Loads of suction and easy to tote around for any employee.

Snaggle tooth Shark
Power head does not work well for heavier cleaning (stairway carpet). The drive belt spins without turning the brush when one bears down with some pressure.
