How far in advance of the wedding should we register?
In general, four to six months before your wedding is the ideal time to register at Bed Bath & Beyond. Our buyers continually travel the world, shopping for new and exciting merchandise that is constantly being added to our assortment. Therefore, you may want to check in with us regularly to see what's new to add to your registry.
Do we need an appointment to register?
No appointment is necessary! To register, you may visit any of our stores nationwide, and our expert Registry Consultants will always be on hand to speak with you. If you'd prefer to have a definite appointment, please call your local store, and we'll be happy to arrange one for you at a convenient time. And of course, you can register online anytime at www.bedbathandbeyond.com, from the comfort of your home or office.
Do we have to choose our entire list of gifts in one visit?
No. Maybe you don't have the time, or you may not want to make your decisions all at once. You can add, delete or update your registry at any of our stores or by calling 1-800-GO BEYOND®
(1-800-462-3966). Additionally, if you gave us permission to place your registry online, you can make changes to your registry at our web site - www.bedbathandbeyond.com.
How can my family and friends access my registry?
Our computerized Bridal & Gift Registry makes accessing your registry easy and convenient. All stores, nationwide, have immediate access to your registry and anyone can call
1-800-GO BEYOND® (1-800-462-3966) to receive a copy of your registry by fax or mail, as well as purchase and ship gifts by phone. Additionally, if you've given us permission to place your registry online, your guests can view and make purchases at www.bedbathandbeyond.com.
What do I do if my bridal registry is not available online?
In the event that your registry is not available online, you can visit your local Bed Bath & Beyond store or call 1-800-GO BEYOND® (1-800-462-3966) and a Registry Consultant will assist you in placing your registry online.
How secure will my registry be online?
If you have requested that your registry be placed online, your guests will be able to see only the registrant and co-registrant names, event date, registry # and items for which you registered. We do not display addresses, phone numbers or other personal information. For further information, visit your local Bed Bath & Beyond store, call 1-800-GO BEYOND® (1-800-462-3966) or e-mail us at customer.service@bedbath.com.
Can I update my registry online?
Yes! If you requested that your registry be available online, you can update the items for which you registered and change your personal information anytime at www.bedbathandbeyond.com. For security reasons, you will be asked to provide your personal password to make any changes online.
Who do I contact if I no longer want my registry online?
That's simple. All you need to do is visit any Bed Bath & Beyond store, call 1-800-GO BEYOND®
(1-800-462-3966) or e-mail us at customer.service@bedbath.com and let one of our Registry Consultants know that you'd like to remove online access to your registry. They will make the necessary changes immediately which will prevent anyone from viewing or making purchases to your registry online.
Do purchases made from my registry get updated nationwide?
Yes! When we are advised of a registry purchase at any of our stores, at 1-800-GO BEYOND®
(1-800-462-3966) or at www.bedbathandbeyond.com your registry will be updated at all of our stores nationwide and at our web site to avoid gift duplication.
What if I receive duplicate gifts?
We'll make every effort to keep your registry current. However, sometimes when purchases are made, family and friends may forget to inform us that their purchase is from a gift registry. In the event you receive duplicate gifts, simply return them and we'll be glad to help you select another gift, or accommodate you in any way we can.
Will gifts be shipped directly to me?
Yes, if the gift giver requests that the gift be shipped directly to you, we will send it to the address specified on your registry (shipping and handling fees are extra).
How long will my registry be in the system?
As a convenience to you and your family and friends, your registry will remain in our system for 24 months after the date of your event, unless you ask us to remove it sooner. Great for anniversary gifts and holiday gift giving!
How do I let everyone know I'm registered at Bed Bath & Beyond?
It's easy! When you register with us, you'll receive 25 complimentary announcement cards to let family and friends know you are registered at Bed Bath & Beyond. Additional complimentary announcement cards are available at our stores, or by calling 1-800-GO BEYOND® (1-800-462-3966). Another way is to let us do it for you! After you have chosen items on your registry, we give you the option of having us send an e-mail to your friends and family announcing your registry at Bed Bath & Beyond. All you have to do is tell us who to send it to, and we do the rest!
Do you have a Completion Program?
YES.  We actually have two! Our in-store Completion Program is available to all Wedding & Commitment Registrants and offers a 10% discount on items for which you registered, but did not receive. You will receive this certificate around the time of your event - so make sure that we have your current address on file. This one-time use certificate is valid for in-store purchases only. See your Registry Consultant for further details.

Our Online Completion Program is available to all Wedding & Commitment Registrants who have elected to have their registry online at www.bedbathandbeyond.com and offers a 10% discount on your Fine Tabletop & Giftware and any other items for which you registered but did not receive. This special online offer will be e-mailed to you around the time of your wedding – so remember to give us your e-mail address! This one-time use offer is valid for online purchases only. See your Registry Consultant for further details.
What type of gift packaging do you offer?
You’ll be as thrilled to give your gift as the recipient is receiving it. We’re happy to offer complimentary gift packaging when you shop in our stores. If you are placing an order online, gift packaging is available for a nominal fee of $2.99. Depending on the size and shape of your purchase, your gift may be placed in a purple gift bag, wrapped in striking purple giftwrap or packaged with white tissue in a white and purple gift box. All gifts are tied with a lovely purple satin ribbon. Unfortunately, we can’t gift package oversized items.
