Food Processors
food processors
how to choose
  return to product product guide

Perhaps the most important decision to make is the food processor's capacity. They range in size from 21 ounces to 14 cups. Your cooking and entertaining style will help you determine what size is right for you.

Look for the pulse feature switch, which is used for quick chopping and helps prevent over processing. Some processors have a speed option for even more control. Other common uses for this machine are: chopping, grating, mincing, slicing, mixing, pureeing, and kneading. Some processors have a speed option for even more control. Touch pad controls and a detachable disc stem make for easier cleaning.

ATTACHMENTS:

FEEDING TUBE: Is used to feed ingredients into the work bowl and it keeps your hands safely away from the blades. When used in conjunction with disks, the tube is where ingredients are put through to be sliced, shredded or grated. Tubes vary in size and larger ones can minimize prep time.

DISCS/BLADES: All processors come with an assortment of discs. The most common include chopping, slicing and shredding discs. Some models have dough kneading blades and a citrus press to create juices. These attachments are what make food processors such a versatile kitchen appliance.

WORK BOWL: While capacities vary, look for a food processor with an interlock work bowl for safety purposes.
