- Odor-resistant scented plastic liner bags (e.g. Diaper Genie)
- Scented liners help mask odors
2. Capacity - The capacity differs by model, and is typically based on newborn size diapers.- Large capacity
- Absorbs odors
- Needs to be emptied less frequently
- Smaller capacity
- Needs to be emptied more frequently
- Emptying it more often helps reduce odors
3. Liners/Bags - Some models use regular garbage bags while others use plastic liners specifically made for a certain model.- Liners
- Some liners are biodegradable
- Some liners are scented to mask odor or are odor-resistant
- Garbage bags
- Cost efficient
- Will not mask odors as well as liners
