Hand washing crystal is always recommended. Lead crystal can crack/break when subjected to extreme temperature changes. Washing crystal with ammonia or lemon juice will help prevent water spots. Crystal should always be stored upright. Everyday glassware is usually top rack dishwasher safe, but check with the manufacturer's instructions first.
