I'm looking into getting a new rolling upright. I keep seeing "inline wheels" and "spinner wheels". What is the difference?
Rolling uprights are easy to use and move around. The big difference is in the wheels. A bag with inline wheels features just two wheels in opposite corners. And when you extend the retractable handle, you must tip the bag to pull it along behind you. A bag with spinner wheels has four wheels, one on each corner, that are multi-directional so you can push or pull it along without tipping the handle. They are also super easy to move around in small spaces.
I just came back from vacation and discovered that my luggage has a peculiar odor. How do I get rid of it?
One way to rid luggage of nasty odors is to use a vinegar and water mixture to wash it out. Stronger odors can be absorbed by sealing charcoal in the bag for a couple of days to absorb the smell.
I'm not sure if the carry-on bag I recently purchased will be allowed on the plane. What do I do?
Always, always check with your airline carrier. Some airlines have certain weight and size restrictions for carry-on and checked baggage and may charge an extra fee if you go over regulation sizes.
Is my luggage TSA-compliant?
Check with your airlines to make sure your luggage meets current TSA requirements. You now must use a special lock that can be undone by the airline if the need arises. Also, certain liquids are not allowed in carry on luggage and some only in small amounts.
