common questions
  return to product product guide

How long does a filter last?

It all depends on your usage; however, the counter top model will have the longest life and will filter approximately 400 gallons. The faucet mount will filter closer to 100 gallons, and the pitcher will filter about 40 gallons.

What contaminants do most filters remove?

The most basic filters will eliminate bad taste and odor and most lead, copper, benzene and chlorine. More advanced systems can also filter out other impurities, so read the list on the package's label.

Is this better than buying bottled water?

It can be better if the bottled water is poorly filtered, plus it's more economical and eco-friendly on the environment.
