Bogolan, better known as mudcloth, designed fabrics have become one of the best-known African fabrics around the world. The process involves starting with a white hand-spun cotton, and then applying the designs with mud, rust and a variety of natural dyes. Mud is usually collected from ponds and left to ferment for varying amounts of time before it is applied onto the fabric.

Made in Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), each pillow comes with a poly-fill insert and has a plain cotton backing. Choose from three different styles.

The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.
