Story behind the art:

full of fields houses and farms from those times the blue skies, the green fields the smell of damp earth and the striking dresses of the ladies were etched in my mind and suddenly I said to myself bingo, the colors, the brightness that was missing in the Peruvian handicrafts as an added value could be the color, I always draw attention to the color despite not being a painter I make my sketches with my designs in a certain way I am very self-taught and I consider myself an enthusiast of full creativity and all the ideas that they can be reflected in a drawing and not of the squared margins that can be imposed in the academies. I believe a lot in positive energy, that people always do well, in good vibes, I am an extreme optimist. So, I got together with Magarí Quiroz, La Maga, my soul sister, journalist, High school classmate where I studied Journalism. And in that, she recovers the matter from the 'alasitas', which are the desires carried by the 'ekekos'. Those wishes of: "I want to go on a trip", "I want to buy my house", etc. 'Alasitas' is an amayra word that means “buy me”. There is a 'alasitas' or wishes fair in Puno, where you go and buy what you want. Maga suggested that I do that with a different vision. So, we made houses, carts, everything, in this form (small, colored), and they were beautiful. Everyone liked it. They came in a box and said "Discover your dream", and inside came the story of what the 'little wing' was. You give that to someone: you give them a symbolism, a wish for them to get what they want. It was very hard to find an ideal craftsman. We contacted people from the School of Fine Arts, with sculptors and sculpture teachers so that they could make the piece as we wanted. I gave them my drawings. Until finally they developed my products, which are the ekekos and the Toritos de Pucara. With the passage of time we have managed to formalize and we are around 12 people. The adventure began more than five years ago, and we are formally leaving for the third year. I want to reach more people in the world teaching and showing them that they can fulfill their dreams and that it is possible to give dreams through my pieces full of love of life and color that are the result of a teamwork of admirable responsible people and that They have a passion for what they do as I have been doing since I started this beautiful work which fills me with happiness and comforts my heart.
