Established in 1949 and based in Germany, privately-held EMSA is a manufacturer of innovative household goods; known for unique, niche products, the company?s first success was a coffee pot drip catcher embellished with a plastic butterfly; plastic remains a key component in the product line. In 1960 the company launched its first line of tableware; today the product line encompasses food storage, cooking utensils, tableware, serveware, garden products and related household goods. Notable accomplishments include thermos bottles with a patented Thermomatic closure system, an innovation in the vacuum jug category. Products include high impact insulated plastic thermal tea carafes with hard glass liners and BPA free infusers; press-button opening 34-ounce insulated vacuum servers designed to keep beverages hot or cold for up to 16 hours; elegant glass and stainless steel water carafes with freezable cooling discs and more. All products are made in Germany.
