Rely A Light

Necessity is the mother of invention and the story behind Kentucky-based Rely-alight is a case in point; the idea for the product came about as the result of a crippling ice storm in 2009 which left the company founders without power for six full days. They used the daylight hours at their kitchen table to come up with a safe and attractive emergency lighting solution for use during power outages and subsequently built the first 280 lamps in their garage in 2012. Today the company has a fulfillment center and has fulfilled their vision of making sure that lack of light during a power outage is no longer an impediment to anyone regardless of age, gender or location. The product line consists of emergency table lamps that will illuminate your home for up to 24 hours during power outages; the decorative and innovative table lamps are designed with an emergency battery function that automatically lights up during power outages and feature a USB port on the base.
