3M Command Large Outdoor Hook in Clear

Fell off the door after waiting for them to adhere

I just found these command strips for outdoor use for my new front storm door. I followed directions and my wreath immediately fell to the ground!!!

Details of this item online says it can be used on any smooth outdoor surface such as siding, trim, windows, etc. The back of the package when it arrived clearly states for windows ONLY. I was planning to use this on a smooth painted surface outside.

Description listed by BBB says good on siding, trim and doors but after purchasing online and receiving the item, the package says only use on windows. BBB should update their online product description to reflect accurate information on the package. I would not have purchased it otherwise as I need it for outdoor siding on the house.

I bought 6 for lightweight wreaths, followed the directions to a T and all 6 and the wreaths came down, have been a happy user of command hooks for many years but these are no good. Hook not very sticky when picking up the pieces.

I purchased several large hooks to hang Christmas wreaths inside and out. All of my wreaths are under suggested weight limit and all have fallen. I tried to rehang the using 2 strips side by side but that doesn’t work either. Adhesive strips aren’t very sticky to the touch’s
