8-Piece Barbecue Tool Set with Case

We bought this set to go with our new gas grill, though we already owned a couple of other partial sets that we never felt had the quality to last, especially the tongs, which, in the old sets, were cheaply made, and often had difficulty holding onto steaks and chicken pieces coated with barbecue sauce. This set, however, has a distinct quality feel to the individual pieces, with the red grips and heavier stainless steel. The tongs are hinged and don't flex side to side as much as the other type, and have a much larger gripping end. The red grips even match our new grill. :-) The only negative points I can think of with this set, are that it lacks a basting brush, which didn't matter to us because we already had a very good one that we had purchased separately. Also the case is a bit cheaply made, as some of the lining with the holders for the utensils tends to pull loose from the cover. Another minor point that would only affect the users of certain grills is that the holes in the handle ends, intended for hanging the utensils on grill hangers, are too small to fit the hangers on our grill. However, that can be solved by tying a leather strip, or something similar, through the holes.

I purchased this to give as a gift. It was really nice and seemed well worth the price. I believe the recipient will enjoy it. I was proud to give it as a gift.

Purchased the barbecue tools for my niece for Christmas, (she loves cooking on the barbecue grill). She loves the set. She was just as impressed with the case it came in!!

The service in the store was excellent. The gentleman that helped me find what I was looking for was great. As far as the item, haven't got to use it yet cause it's a Christman present but love the ideal that it's has the case to keep everything handy.

The product inside the case are good and easy to use. However, the case itself is very poor quality. It came and the inside cover was coming apart at many of the glue points. I had to glue the whole cover. Even though the item was on sale, it was not worth what I paid for it. Maybe why it was discounted so much.
