I bought 3 harvest in the red because I thought they would be something that my husband who had a massive stroke could participate in. He was able to plant all the pods, add nutrients etc with his good hand. Besides the benefits of fresh greens, there is also the joy of having a life affirming activity to look forward to each day! Be careful...they are addictive!
This was my Christmas gift to myself. I could not have been more excited about gardening on my counter top. I even brought extra pod collections for all of the gardening I was going to do. Five of the six pods germinated, grew fully past the highest point of the lamp and then without blooming tomatoes, DIED!!!! A waste of my time and money!!!!

I have successfully grown many herbs, and I am looking forward to grow tomatoes. Though I have one concern: how do I stop algae growth, since, the thyme died.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this product for quite some time. I love the convenience of growing herbs in my kitchen without the benefit of sunlight. My only criticism is after a while, the plastic takes on an unpleasant odor that no amount of cleaning removes. This would be the perfect appliance if this could be remedied.

I bought this over two years ago and love it. I grew some herbs and now growing tomatoes and jalepeno peppers.

Received this as a gift 3 years ago. I initially used it for lettuce. This was fine but-even though the lettuce plugs were thriving-it was hard to get enough for a salad. For the last two years I have used it to grow culinary herbs in winter. I planted one parsley, one rosemary, and 4 basil (different varieties. I grow enough basil to make two small containers of pesto once a month.

Got this as a gift for Christmas. After less than a month all 6 herbs were growing well and now I am drowning in them! I have been able to use all of them in recipes and give extra away to friends and family. It was really easy and I was surprised at how well it did, given that I have never been able to keep a plant alive before. Highly recommend!

FabulousI I have had so much fun with my first unit I just ordered a bigger unit!! It is winter and cold outside so growing indoors is wonderful!! My dill and basil plants are so big I'm having to harvest almost every day. Can't wait to grow the salad plants. The mint pod never grew but the replacement should be coming.

I received the aerogarden harvest as a Christmas gift and after one week I had a problem with the unit itself. I contacted aerogarden and they were extremely professional and helpful with the warranty. I found their customer service second to none. I would recommend this company to everyone. Now I can't wait to try my first fresh salad.
