I absolutely love this pan!! I can cook all the meat at one time for my husband's meals. He loves how fast I can cook them now. Thank you. I truly appreciate how quick it was shipped to me.

This universal pan feels extremely light, lighter than any of my current D3 SS, except the smallest one. Despite the expensive pricetag, it feels cheap.

Seems like a nice pan. Heats evenly and was pretty easy to clean even though it’s not a non-stick. We plan on buying the rest of the set in 3 or 5 ply versions.

I was super excited about this purchase, as it is my first All Clad pan, and for the most part I love it. The pan itself looks amazing, is a perfect size when cooking for 2-4 people, and is super versatile. I also love the two-handle design of the universal pans, it makes them easy to carry and move around, especially if you need to put it in the oven. I have found it easy to wash and take care of, and after months of use it still looks new. My one big concern is that the bottom of my pan is not entirely flat. I do not believe that this is a result of my use in any way, since I have always followed all recommended cooking and washing instructions. This flaw causes all of the oil to move to the edges, leaving an exposed area in the center of the pan that is not covered, even if I use a pretty significant amount of oil. In addition to this causing me to always use way more oil than I should need to to try to better coat the pan, this is very frustrating because if I do not lift and tilt the pan to move the oil and coat it, and then quickly add my food before all the oil moves back to the outer edge, the food in the middle ends up sticking. I shouldn't have to do this every time I cook. I am not sure if I just got a dud pan, since most other reviewers do not seem to have this issue, but it's pretty disappointing. I would probably still buy other All Clad products in the future, but this wasn't the best first experience. Hopefully other products do not have this issue.

I bought this piece a few months ago because I needed a wide mouthed pan with a flat base that can hold larger quantities of food. I was extremely happy to find this tri-ply construction with a double-handle as I am switching all my cookware from nonstick to stainless steel tri-ply. While I love the size and shape of the pan, every time I use it foods sticks and sticks badly. I have used low heat, high heat, medium heat- all with same results. I have heated the pan using the water bead method to make sure I was at the right temperature before cooking. I have kept the heat on low to medium low and eventually food still sticks. I don’t know how you can sear or roast anything on this using high heat without disaster happening on the pan. I have used only wooden utensils to scrape away food during cleaning and it has left scratch marks. I have much cheaper tri-ply stainless steel anolon and calphalon products that function at a much higher performance than this. I was so excited to receive this but I am sorely disappointed by its performance.

To prevent foods from sticking to your stainless steel cookware, we recommend cooking on a medium to low heat setting. Allow your pan to fully preheat before adding foods. The water test in this scenario is helpful. Additionally, we would recommend cooking with a form of fat such as butter or oil.
