Anchor Hocking® 1-Gallon Glass Cookie Jar

I purchased 3 of these items to use as dust houses for my pet chinchillas. If like me you are tired of paying out $15+ for those plastic dust houses that the chinchillas eventually chew up this is your answer! It is just the right size for an adult chinchilla to get into and take a dust bath. The slanted opening means that it is also easily accessible by young chinchillas without any problems. And since you do not need the lids for the way I used this product, I plan to turn the lids into a DIY project to make some homemade wind chimes.

The hocking jars are good looking and a good quality. I would rather the tops not have been so loose. They can't be used for unwrapped cookies or they'll lose their freshness. Otherwise, they are great for everything with wrappers.

My husband and I are pretty much empty nesters, and he's the only one who eats cookies in the house, so a gallon size cookie jar is perfect for holding 1-2 dozen cookies at a time. I prefer glass, because it holds up better over time, and does not hold onto smell like plastic. It cleans up like a breeze. I just wish I could find some pretty, custom lids for it.

We bought 4 Anchor Hocking® 1-Gallon Glass Cookie Jars to store dog treats. They not only look great in our kitchen, but are very functional for our need. Easy to reach in and out of the jar to retrieve a treat. No need to wrestle with plastic container tops for opening and closing, and no toxic byproducts that are common with some plastic containers. Easy to keep clean and all around a great value.

The only one fault with this product is I wish it was air tight.

Nice clean look, the cookie jar is exactly what I was expecting. We are using it for dog treats.

Love it. Just what I was looking for to complete the look with this candy jar. I ordered 2, one jar with the lid came bent and returned to the store. I kept one and if you're looking for something fun to put candy or snacks in, this is it!!
