I love that these jars are perfect for a 5-lb bag of flour. I'm tired of lifting those heavy bags in and out of cupboards. I don't have much counter space so at first I was worried that these jars would be as big as the ones used by the Barefoot Contessa and Paula Deen... but upon receiving the items I realized that those must have been the 2-gallon jars. These 1-gallon jars are just perfect for the extra space on my kitchen island. I placed it right in front of my rolling space so I won't need to move the jars around as they're heavy. Just recently I dropped a jar of sugar as I was getting it out of the cupboard because I didn't bother to wash my floured hands! Very upsetting. I plan to get a couple more of these jars later on for beans and other dried goods. The lid doesn't seal so it's not advisable to store sugar in them. Anyway, I love these jars, period. I'm a fan of Anchor Hocking and I hope they will keep making quality products here in the USA for years to come.
These are junk. No seal. The lid slides all over. These are useless! I have 8 of these bought on Amazon for less and they all have tight sealed lids. BBB, I am so disappointed in the quality you sell now. If I could give less than one star, I would.

I like the look and the size of this jar, but I wished it came with a rubber seal on the lid so it closes more snugly.
These are nicely made but bc they have no seal my flour got mold! Now I read not to put sugar, it’s too late, will have to put clear wrap over it. Would be okay for wrapped candy but anything else will go stale, or worse get mold. So much for copying the beautiful pictures on Pinterest.
This was exactly what I was looking for, keeps cookies, muffins perfectly. LOVE IT !
Basic glass jar that holds my single serve coffee pods. Looks good on my counter top.

Name brand item. Well made and is working great as a candy jar. Highly recommended.
