Cast iron cooking is not for everyone or every food, but when you need an iron pan you can't get much better than this. Pros: * VERY Heavy—This is WAY heavier than Lodge or most other brands. This means very even heat and tremendous heat retention. * Handle on both ends. With a pan this heavy you'll need to use two hands. * Very well seasoned. Cons: * VERY Heavy—If its too heavy, try maybe a smaller model * Non-ground/polished interior. This is my only gripe with this pan. It's hard to find an iron pan that has a smooth, ground/polished interior, but ones that do hold the seasoned surface better than the rougher, unpolished surface. Personal choice. Overall: You really can't do much better than this, especially for the price.
I have a ceramic stove top. The company says this line is suitable for all stove tops. I ordered the skillet and dutch oven online. I immediately returned the items at the store. The bottoms of the cookware are rough. The rule for ceramic stove tops is that the cookware’s bottom be smooth and flat. The items that I received were not. The included instructions stated that you should lift the pan if you have a ceramic stove top. The pans are very heavy making this a non-viable option. Would not recommend this line for ceramic stove tops.

Great product that seasoned before sending out to customers. I love it!!!
It stuck with first usage. Had to let it soak and then it rusted inside. Gave it to me son, he thinks he can clean it up and use it.
When the frying pan was washed softly, the metal dusted off the paint when you put it on the stove
I have never witnessed a smoother pan than this Artisanal. I seasoned it a few times but I really didn't need to. To touch it, it's just beautifully smooth. Why Bed Bath&Beyond is not carrying this anymore is a shame. I'd buy everything they made! I was only able to get my hands on an 8 1/2 inch cast iron but I'd love to have the 10 inch ones. The quality is so impressive.
I start on the stove and can keep temp in the oven to finish the cook. My well used and seasoned pan has a wooden handle so cooking had to be completed on the stove.
Very useful product
Just a bit of educational advice. Anyone who has dealt with any kind of Cast Iron Cooking Product knows that when you purchase a Cast Iron Cooking Product, they are not black and shiny. These Cast Iron Products are sprayed with the same toxic Non-Stick Coating that are on all Non-Stick Cookware. I think what makes me furious is that they have the nerve to use the word "Pre-Seasoned. I know what a non=stick coating looks and feels like. And this is a non-stick coating for sure. A real seasoned cast iron product does not feel or even look like these products.
I love my pre-season 12in deep cast Iron frying pan. I brought 2. It easy to cook in just as you keep the pan is oil regular. Never ever wash it with dish soap!!!!!
