Have tried many and although this isn't great, it's better than several I tried. I wish it were lighter. That being said, it's better than the Chi straightners I tried.
Just to be clear I love Babybliss Pro products. I own their hairdryer, one and half inch straightening iron, drying brush, curler, etc. and they all are excellent quality. I bought the u-styler so I could have two in one straightener and curler. However, it didn't meet the same quality as other products. The main issue was with heating up the iron. I tried it at the highest setting and even then it wouldn't heat up enough to straighten the hair. It's going back to the store today.

This is absolutely one of the best flat irons out there. I am a professional stylist and have bought one for home, one for the salon and I have burned through one after several years of all day in salon using. I have never pinched myself or burnt myself using this and get better curls then with a curling iron, professional GHD, CHI, T3 and many more. It straightens my ethnic clients thick tiny curls to my very fine fragile hair clients. If it doesn't work for you loosen your grip. Two fingers is all you need. If it's not gliding through your clamping too tight.
It only lasted 3.5 years, for the money spent it it's incredible it has such a short lifespan.

High quality flat iron and the best price around. Works perfect
I purchased the BaByliss Pro Nano 1-Inch Titanium U Styler after returning the T3 Singlepass 1.5 inch that is white. I needed a light colored flat iron that is easy to see in my travel bag since many flat irons are dark colored. I needed a color that easily contrasts and is visible against the black interior of my bag so it’s easy to spot and I can glance over and quickly know it’s packed before heading out the door. What the photo doesn’t show is that the heated wrap-around edge is not present on the other side of the iron. I’m constantly having to change the side of the iron in my grip depending on what side of my head I’m working on. For some reason the palms of my hands repeatedly get pinched in the opening-not the heated part-but it’s uncomfortable and over time I’m not doing it any less. I’ve been using styling tools for years and I’ve never had this issue before. I would not recommend this flat iron.
I got this for a Christmas gift & I love it! It heats up fast & straighten hair in one pass.
Did not like ...can easily get burn with the curl curve plate.....
This flat iron is a terrible design because you can't use it without burning at least your fingers and probably your face. It's going back
