This mattress cover is exactly what I wanted for total protection with the inside being waterproof and the zipper totally encasing my boxspring mattress. I washed it before putting it on, which required air-drying the waterproof side since I was afraid it would melt in the dryer. With the help of my daugher, we slipped it on the boxspring mattress, zipped it up and now I don't have to worry about bugs or cleanliness of the boxspring until I replace my mattress in 10 years! We had a laugh when we placed the mattress on top of the boxspring because it "floated" for a couple of minutes until the air redistributed itself as there was an air bubble created due to the fact that the cover was a little larger than the boxspring itself.

This item fit my mattress as advertised and thankfully we have not had bedbugs to test if it works in that manner.

Pros: The material is nice and doesn’t make any crinkling sound like our old one did. We seem to sleep “cooler” now, too. Cons: You definitely need to be careful of the zipper while putting it on. Even being careful after reading the warning, ours came apart but we were able to get it back together.
