Very easy to clean. You must clean the inside of the motor every time. I use a q-tip. We've had no problems since I bought it this summer. I clean it once a week and use filtered water. I think the best feature is it's so quiet. I can keep it in the bedroom, so they have water at night. The one drawback is it's not easy to see when the water level is low. You can tell by how weak the stream is, but I check it frequently.
I really wanted to like this unit for the size capacity and the price but 2 hours after purchasing I returned it. First, this comes with a usb plug only and no one wall plug. I guess for the low cost that’s something you can understand and maybe be fine with but I wasn’t. Also, I don’t like that you can’t see the water level at all.

I’ve had mine for over a year and it has been great for my 2 puppies. I do clean the bowl regularly, but finding the filters can be a challenge. Otherwise the product works great.
I bought this fountain in August and it’s now October and the pump went out. I just wouldn’t bother buying this product, it is not very durable.
This only worked about one week and died
Bought for my Mom as gift. Her kitty used everyday and she kept it clean and followed directions. For no reason it just stopped working.
Two cats and a dog use it and we all love it!!!
I had this less than one week and it stopped working and had water in it .
I bought this fountain for our cats and they loved it, until it just quit one night. It only worked for a few months and was cleaned regularly so it’s pretty disappointing.
My dogs loved this fountain. However it only lasted less than 2 months before the pump went out.
