The spikes hold them into the ground well, but the only issue currently is that they are being covered by leaves and then not getting enough charge during the day, but this is only a seasonal problem for us. Otherwise, we really like these lights.

These solar power paw lights are very sturdy and did I mention so cute. We used ours to light the way to our outside pen. They give off just the right amount of light too, only problem is I wish I had more, so guess I can work on that
