Bell + Howell Stainless Steel Outdoor Solar Pathway Lights in Black (Set of 4)

I purchased these in October. Details online stated a minimum of 6 or 8 hours of direct sunlight was needed for operation. However, once I received the package and read the instructions I found that a full 12 hours of direct sunlight was required for the initial charge. This is impossible where I live at this time of the year. I am returning it now to avoid issues since I cant try these out until way past the return timeframe is over. This information should be posted in the item description online, and perhaps even in bold or as a warning. I wish I had a chance to try these now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really want to like these lights. They look really good on my walkway to the front door of my home. The problem? They don't stay lit very long. Maybe due to it being winter and having shorter amounts of sunlight the lights don't get to charge as they may on the summer but they haven't given many hours of light yet. Disappointing. I'll hold out hope and see how they perform in the spring and summer.

There are different lighting settings on them which is a fun feature. Pay attention to switch them on when you set them up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These lights have two modes—standard white light or flickering yellow to simulate a candle. I must admit I expected to only use the constant white mode, but I am actually enjoying the ambience provided by the candle mode. These pathway lights have the solar panel on top, as well as a photovoltaic sensor so they only come on when ambient light is low. They last for hours on a charge and we have been enjoying them.

Super easy to install and maintain, and they look great among our other landscape lighting. Very helpful since our primary outdoor lighting only covers the font door or garage area, leaving a blackout on our walkway. These lights provide a perfect solution!

Plus you pretty much just put them in the ground and go. Also a fan that they are metal instead of cheap plastic feeling ones.

We have been using the led feature because we prefer it, but the flame setting is pretty cool if you like it! They were really simple to set up and last through the night with good sunlight.
