[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, let me just say WOW! I am so impressed with the Barista Pro, I may never go to a coffee shop again. There's just no need to. I can make any coffee drink I want with the Barista Pro! So far I've made espresso, cappuccino, americano, latte and frappe. It's so easy to use, very intuitive and you can change your settings to suit your needs. There are automatic settings already set on the machine but you can easily change them. You can adjust the fineness of your grind, and how much it outputs by adusting the amount of time it grinds coffee into the portafilter. The grinder itself is a thing of beauty! A sturdy conical burr grinder that delivers a consistent and superior grind, every time! Very easy to remove for light cleaning. I love how sleek this looks and how well it performs. I have a few small problems with it, but not enough to take off a star from my review. First problem: The baskets that sit inside of the portafilter are very hard to get out. Any time I have to change one, I spend a good five minutes trying to remove the one currently occupying it. Second Problem: There is a storage tray that sits behind the drip tray. I thought it would be a great place to store the other filter baskets and cleaning supplies for the machine. After a few uses I realized that condensation was accumulating in the storage basket. I assume purging the steamer into the drip tray might be causing this. Third and final issue: The handle that flips up on the water reservoir is over engineered and seems flimsy. Other than that I have no issues with this fine machine. It is an amazing appliance that will save me thousands on to go coffee. It comes with a variety of cleaning accessories and everything you will need to maintain and get the most out of your Barista Pro.
I was delighted with my purchase of the Barista Pro in April 2020. The look and the operation of the machine was good. However, within 6 weeks the grinder began to have little problems. I have managed to work around that, but now the steaming feature is inoperative. I have followed the manual's suggestions to no avail. I have had the machine for only five months. I so wanted this to be my last espresso machine, but I am discouraged with it. I have read other reviews concerning long hold times with Customer Service. On Monday I shall have to begin my attempts to contact them. I would recommend holding off purchasing Breville for some time.

Love it I bought the express prior to this and while it was a good machine to start on the "Pro" is somehow easier to operate, fine tune and measure i.e. everything involved in pulling a very good espresso shot! If I had the opportunity to try both in person I would have definitely picked the pro the first time around!

I purchased the breville barista pro. I had another brand for 20 years but changed to this after trying a coffee from one. It produces better than cafe quality. I’m not over exaggerating when I saw it has spoiled my going to the coffee shop. I really enjoy my coffee. My old delonghi was good, this is better by a fair margin.

Bought this a month ago and after trying various settings we now LOVE this machine! It took a few tries to get the grind size how we like it but now we make cappuccinos and americanas like true baristas! This machine totally elevated our coffee game and we highly recommend it!

Love this coffee machine. It is some work to figure out in the beginning but worth it. I do wish it included a “dump” bin for when I’m done making so I don’t have to run to the garbage.

After buying the barista impress express for me parents i was itching to buy myself one.. so i went with the pro.. still trying to dail it in.. but enjoying my coffee in the morning and afternoon

We bought this machine and use it at least 3-4 times a day! It pulls great shots, decaf or regular espresso and steams milk so nicely. I was a barista some time ago and am very picky about my drinks. I feel like we can make great quality espresso right at home, no trips to a drive in coffee shop anymore.

Really good espresso machine. Shots are consistent. Get good beans and your drink is set. Only thing is the grinder.. its okay. Could have been better but I wouldn’t complain much. Cleaning the grinder can be a bit cumbersome. Apart from that rest of the operations are super simple. If you are planning on buying it go for it.. just remember since its not dual boiler, you may not be able to extract the shot and steam the milk at the same time. So you have a tight window if you wish to make a latte art.
