Im a former barista who has made thousands upon thousands of shots for customers on gigantic, very expensive espresso machines. This machine makes shots every bit as good as any shot ive ever had. Bean quality and user technique are going to be the only things limiting anyones experiences with the machine. I pulled about half a dozen shots before i had it dialed in pretty well. The pressure gauge makes it easy for anyone to know if they are doing it right or wrong. The feature I like the most is the grinder. At work i used to have to weigh each filter with the grounds in it to make sure i had the proper amount of grind before i made the shot. The automatic dispersement allows for the same shot to be made every time. This machine is great. If you buy espresso everyday it will pay for itself in less than 5 months and that isnt factoring the added convenience of making espresso at home.
I have had 2 of these. They are good but the pump will degrade and fail like clock work at the 4 month mark if you make 3-4 espresso's per day. Customer service for warranty is not the best either. I have called only to hear a recording saying that the call volume is too high and to call back. This has gone on for weeks.

Revel is an excellent company with excellent products and they do their best for service when and if the product fails to replace it I recommend to anyone and that's why I will give it a five star

I bought this item in January and I realized the grinder knob moves from fine towards coarse as I use the machine. Also the glass on the pressure gauge steams up and the water tank handle is jut too weak to transport 2l of water.

This machine has not worked since it arrived. The espresso continuously spills over the portafilter and spits instead of coming from the spouts at the bottom. This is very disappointing.

I think I got a used machine, I didn't notice the dent on the side after a few months. The coffee is not hot, so I have to put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. The first time the machine clean/descale light came on, we followed the cleaning instructions and it was fine. The light turns off. The second time the clean/descale light came on we followed the same cleaning instructions but this time the light stayed on. Also it seems when we turn on the machine there is water dripping right away from the steam & water purging outlet above. Have to empty the water tray every other day. Only had the machine for about 3 month when this problem started. Never went away.

I love my new espresso maker. Although I am still learning how to pull a great cup of espresso, everyday is a new experience. This machine is so pretty and sturdy. Best purchase.

This machine worked great for nearly a year, then started spitting coffee over the portafilter. I replaced the steam ring, but ultimately had to return the machine, luckily just before the warranty expired. It was very hard to get the attention of the service department, but they did eventually respond to this first issue. About a month after getting the machine back, the same problem returned. The machine is no longer under warranty and the support group hasn't responded to my request for assistance submitted 18 days ago. They haven't even acknowledged that I submitted the case on their site.
