I used this oven for about 2 weeks making toast, baking biscuits, heating pizza, etc. It worked great - controls are easy to use and very intuitive, nice size, and lots of neat features. Unfortunately I had to quit using it. When it completes the warmup phase, it emits one beep. After it completes a cycle, it emits 3 beeps. The beeps are a loud, piercing noise which really bothered my dog. She starts shaking and runs and hides in the closet. I hoped she would get used to it but she did not. This noise could be irritating to animals, children, or those who use hearing aids. You can't turn the beeper off or adjust the loudness. Make sure that will not be a problem in your household before you throw away the packing and receipt. I did not keep mine so I am stuck with it.
I bought this oven May 1, 2013 and used it for toast, frozen waffles, reheating leftovers, stuffed chicken breasts, and baking small frozen items. I never had any success with broiling in this oven. I was happy with it as it served my needs, but yesterday, May 15, 2014 it just stopped working. Compare that to my first microwave oven which lasted 23 years. I am going to take advantage of BB&B's generous return policy (Glad I saved my receipt!), and am very glad they have it, I don't think I will buy a small appliance anywhere else, ever. I wish they sold TV's!, but I am not sure what brand I will exchange it for. Most items made today are made with less robust power supplies and circuitry than was used in the past, and they just don't last.

My wife and I love our oven broiler but it frequently seems like overkill to grill small or moderate quantities of things. So after reading a lot of reviews we got the Mini Smart Oven. Have had it for about two months now and so far I love it. We've made everything from toast to asparagus to cookies to open-faced sandwiches... it is really versatile and works great. And the size is just right for us. Highly recommend it.

So far it's o.k. the size is right, it fits my limited counter space but, it browns more on one side than the other. For the cost of the thing I expected better performance than that. Because of that, I decline to recommend it to others.

The controls and overall look and size of this product are very nice, but the toasting function has been disappointing. I like just an average, golden color on my toast, so I thought putting the darkness setting at 4 (the highest is 7) would produce the desired result. Not even close! I had to add more time (multiple times) to get to an average toast color. After some trial and error, I now set it at 6 or 7 AND increase the slice number to 2 or 3 to get a single slice of sourdough bread to toast correctly. Also, on my previous toaster, when you opened the oven door, it would also make the toasting shelf slide out. This one doesn't do that, so you have to reach into the hot toaster to extract your toast. I have not used the baking or other cooking functions yet, so perhaps those work more effectively.

Perfect size. Fits 4 slices of bread perfectly. Reheats great. Bakes great. Haven’t tried the broil yet but confident that too will be perfect.
