I've had the 11 cup Kitchen Aid, the 14 cup Cuisinart, and the Cuisinart Elite. The Elite is a good machine, but the lid is impossible to clean All kinds of food bits built up in the lid and it started to mold. (I don't have a dishwasher, so it may be fine if you have one). I replaced it with the 14oz Cuisinart. When I tried to make pie dough, it spewed flour out because there is no seal for the lid. That made it worthless for me. I then exchanged it for a Kitchen Aid (thank you BB&B). I tried to make hummus. The blade wouldn't stay locked down and ended up rising, and stripping itself. I exchanged it for another figuring it was defective. The second one did the same thing. I exchanged it for this model (again, thanks BB&B). 1) This works for everything I do, and doesn't mold. 2) It is the best bowl design ever. There is no hole in the center for the blades. It's a sealed unit. It's incredibly easy to clean. It's expensive, but if you are going to do anything more that chipping and slicing, you need this one.
I have owned this unit for 2 months and while working up to good performance the plastic bowl cracked twice in that time period. Not happy with it and now will try to return unit

I upgraded to this machine 1 1/2 years ago thinking it would last a life time. The top is better engineered than my old processor. However, I just had to replace the bowl as some pieces chipped off the bottom locking device and it would not work. The rest of the processor is great, but be very careful how you remove the bowl from the stand as it chips rather easily.

While I haven't had the chance to use my Breville Food Processor much, I'm happy with its performance. It's powerful yet operates quietly and is very sturdy. I purchased it to replace a previous food processor I've had for 34 years, and it's quite the upgrade. I look forward to using it again soon.

I bought this as a christmas gift for my mother. For so long she didn’t want to use it since it was such an expensive gift for her! She finally put aside her food processor of 20 years!!! and started using this one! After couple times she used it, she realized the plastic bowl started cracking in every use. After 4 times, she is done using it and brought back her 20 year old processor! Definitely not worth it of the money you pay for it!

Recently the pusher didn’t stop and it was sliced off into the bowl and damaged the blade.

We were given our first Kitchen Whiz as an engagement present and, after 28 years of marriage, that first whizz had finally given its final dice. Have replaced it with a new Whiz and it’s even better- if this one lasts as long, my wife and I will be using it to chop our food into tiny pieces in our mid eighties- which I’m sure will be quite handy at that age.
