I was hesitant to purchase this because of the cost but this came highly recommended on a couple sites I trust. I have had the processor for only a week now and the first thing I made was peanut butter. I was amazed at how fast it turned the nuts to a creamy consistency in a matter of minutes with no added oil. The best peanut butter I have had! I have not tried almond butter yet but will be doing that soon, too. The slicer has worked good and adjusting the size is easy. I have sliced cucumbers, squash, and apples so far with no difficulty. Very fast! I tried the french fry cutter with sweet potatoes and it did well but I had quite a few that were stragglers. It would be nice to have a gauge to be able to make the slices bigger but I guess I could use the other slicer to do that. I have already called the Breville customer service because when I was drying the lid and dropped it. There was a crack on the side which became bigger after each use. I was willing to pay for another lid since it was my fault but the representative stated a new lid would be shipped to me free of charge. That was very considerate. If you have a red Kitchen Aid stand mixer, this cranberry color does not match. The base unit is more of a dull color but I am still glad to have the red theme going on with my appliances. I have used this appliance almost every day since it arrived for one thing or another. It is easy to use, quiet, fast, and about as easy to clean as any other tool in the kitchen. I keep the base on the counter and the attachments in a drawer along with the smaller bowl, and large food pusher. Without the pusher on the bowl, it will fit under the cabinet.
We bought one of these back in November 2020 intended to be a final replacement of our 35 year old food processor, and until a couple of days ago we were pretty pleased with the unit. So, on Friday we used the julienne disk for only the second time. Instead of individual juliennes it produced kerfed pucks which we subsequently had to cut by hand anyway. The why: it turns out that the Breville design uses cutting tines that are attached at the top of the cutting aperture but not at the the bottom. The cutting forces deform these tines upwards so that eventually they only cut part of the way through the food. The first two photos show the failed julienne disk, top and bottom. Further these upward forces cause bending of the the spot-welded on blade away from the upper edge of the disk aperture leaving a gap. This deformation gap is indicated/shown in a third photo. The French Fry disk shares the same design. I haven't used the FF disk yet so I've attached a fourth photo of it from the bottom showing how the tines are supposed to look and a fifth photo showing no gap between the cutting blade and upper edge of the disk aperture. The (temporary) fix: Using a pair of needle nose pliers I'll have to bend the cutting edge to close the gap and tines back into position below the lower edge of the aperture. In order to delay the onset of failure I plan on using as little plunger pressure as possible in order to minimize these forces. This will work for a time ... but the repeated bending cycles back and forth will cause the tines to eventually break off causing me to have to julienne by hand again -- I'm sure that by then my warranty will be fully exhausted and I'll have to buy replacements. To last me I may buy a couple of copies of both the julienne and french fry disks now, while they are available. The permanent fix: I've attached a sixth picture of my old food processor julienne disk showing the cutting tines physically attached at both the top and the bottom of the cutting aperture. This design continues to last after 35+ years. Pretty good, eh?

Great food processor, looks schmick on my kitchen counter top and does the job. I love the smaller cylinder inside for small batches.

We are very satisfied with the performance of the product. We wash the plastic add ons by hand to avoid any damage . So far the product met our expectations.

I really wanted to like this dicing disc set but after using it a couple of times I’m still on the fence whether it was worth the cost (plus the purchase of the items individually to make it compatible with my sous chef). The dicing discs are difficult to clean and I had to use a chopstick to poke out the veggies left in the disc. There is definitely a learning curve I need to overcome. Maybe with more practice it will get easier.

I bought the Breville Sous Chef 16 Pro because the brand has been excellent in the past and I wanted something that would serve me for years. I have only used it about a dozen times and now, just when I want to grate fresh pumpkin for pumpkin bread, the machine can't sense the pusher and the machine won't work. A real bummer - especially because I gave up my box grater.

Absolutely brilliant. My old one I had for 12 years, which is a long time for me as I do use it a lot. Thought my old one was good but this one is so much easier to use, all the different tools and the smaller bowl as an option is great. Extremely happy with it

We bought this about a 6 weeks ago and have used it for grating cheese, slicing and grating vegetables. We also have chopped nuts. The Breville is easy to clean and most parts are dishwasher safe. The adjustable slicing disc made it easy to adjust for slicing vegetables. The separate toolbox makes for easy storage. We haven't found a negative yet!
