Breville® the Barista Express™ Impress Espresso Machine in Stainless Steel

Purchased this espresso maker about 2 months ago after a long wait. I used this almost every day for a week, then the automatic dose feature stopped working and I had to dose manually. Did this for about 2 weeks and did not use the machine for a week. Now, the auto dose is working. Hopefully that does not happen again. Love having the machine though and drink quality is great.

My life changed the day my coffee maker came into my life. I suddenly became very fussy as I became accustomed to the best coffee every day. I love this machine as you can grind your own coffee (never rely on pods!), adjust the grinding levels (how fine/how much), make your milk just to your liking and make one or two cups at once. However, it is very simple to use (house sitters always love using my machine!). I have even been known to take my machine with me on road trip holidays!

A very good machine - easy to use and when I bought it was an excellent price.

It’s my first breville espresso machine. I bought it a little before thanksgiving and It’s been perfect so far. The coffee is great, easy to use and clean. I wish top of the water tray is brushed steel but it’s more like shiny plastic? I have some scratches on it by putting my cups.

Transitioning from the Barista Express, I love the new features on this machine. Especially the grind dose remembering feature. The machine is the logical next step in the evolution of the Barista Express.

I purchased mine about a month ago to persuade my wife to stop buying from big expensive coffee shops. The machine is great, does exactly what it's designed to do, the tamp is super easy to use and after dialing in the machine it's very consistent. Easy of use is a 4 our of 5. It takes a while to reheat itself if your pulling shots and then wanting to steam milk at the same time. Makes for a colder espresso in the end which is a bummer. Other then that I'm satisfied with the quality.

I upgraded to the Impress from the Barista Express in December and am absolutely loving it! With the Express, I didn't always get consistent espresso, which had nothing to do with the machine and everything to do with my inability to be consistent with my dosage and tamping. On the Impress, the smart dosing feature gives me perfect espresso every time, and it is also super easy to adjust if I change beans that need a courser or finer grind. It is also worth noting that the Barista Express line are all amazing quality, as prior to this, I used my Barista Express for over 12 years and it was still running strong. I also prefer the Impress over more automatic models as I feel like there is minimal maintenance and I can foam my own milk for a perfect cafe quality latte. I've been recommending this machine to anyone who will listen!
