Calphalon® Premier™ Space Saving Hard Anodized Nonstick 4 qt. Covered Chef's Pan

I got this as my other Calphalon pan of 23 years was ruined. I loved my old pan and thought if it could last 23 years, this one would too. This one is just too heavy for me to lift. I'm glad it has handles on both sides but still very heavy to lift when in use.

Typical quality product from Calphalon. Deep!!!! Works great for many foods.

i hope this pan stays nonstick forever.

Love this Calphalon pot. Cooks evenly. Only down side is that it is heavy.

You can feel the weight of this pan and get a good sense of it's quality. If the non stick coating lasts as they claim, then I should be good for a long time.

I bought this pan for pasta sauces, and then finishing the dish by putting the pasta into the pan to incorporate pasta & sauce. Pan's proportions with its higher sides are ideal. Superior Caphalon quality. Cleaning the pan is a whiz, super easy by hand clean in the sink. While the flat lid is very clever and exceptionally made and fitted, PERSONALLY FOR ME, I prefer to not use the flat glass lid, but to instead use my existing Glass Caphalon domed top from my 10" Caphalon non-stick fry pan which nestles nicely enough on this style pan. I prefer to simply lift that domed glass lid by its simple center handle, rather than having to set in place the heavier flat glass lid with its long handle into the handle of this pan. I've steamed clams in this pan, and the clams steam beautifully with my existing domed glass Caphalon 10" lid. Less is more, and with my existing 10" Caphalon domed glass lid, I don't need the flat glass lid. But were I buying this as part of a set without access to other lids, the flat lids are excellent.

I was so excited about the stacking and space saving capabilities of these pans especially the lids, that I bought the whole set and a few extra items like this Chef's Pan, but the pans themselves have left me feeling disappointed. They function well but a couple handles are already coming loose with no way to tighten them and the handle area is impossible to clean with all the groves and curves. If you like to keep your pans sparkling clean do not get these pans. Also not completely happy with the lids, they have a lip that holds condensation which took me a while to get used to and not burn myself with hot water. I will use until they wear out but do not recommend.

The pot is excellent. I purchased all kind of the pots from this collection. It saves the space and have a high quality. Pots are heavy but I like it, not for someone who is looking for the lightweight pots. The only unpleasant experience i had while purchasing was the rudeness of the B&B employee when I was checking the pot quality in the store in my shopping cart at Pleasant Hill CA location. She was not rude, loud, and pushed me with a cart with no reason for that. The pot is expensive, I needed to be sure for no extra trip back. Please, teach your employees to be polite.
