While looking I read a professional reviewer who said that there was not a perfect slow cooker and I could not agree more. I know it must seem odd but my main goal, along with ease of use and a few basic features, was one which the cover did not have a rubber gasket. I found my last one to be very unsanitary and off putting because of the way it held the smells in spite of thorough cleanings, soakings, etc. Also, I wanted to have one with no hot spots as my last one cooked unevenly. So far so good on all counts! Cooks relatively hot and fast so have used low mostly. Hope this helps you in reaching your decision!
As I write this I am waiting for oils to dissolve the heavy residue left on the cooker side digital display by ridiculous stickers by maker. They are incredibly tenacious. Overall feels tinny and cheap quality. To soon to see if it performs well. But this is supposed to be a premium product and I can tell you it does not feel or look like one in person.

This is the perfect 4 qt. slow cooker. I definitely wanted a programmable cooker not just with the temperature but with the time since all my recipes have different times. It is great to be able to set the exact time that I meed. I got exactly what I wanted.

I have many calpholon products, all my cookware (pots, pans skillets) and I am very pleased with everything. I also have a 7 qt. Slow cooker for years and it is the best slow cooker I have ever owned. The only thing missing is a electric skillet. I am waiting for you to get one.

Very nice slow cooker. High quality, digital and a great size for what I need. Used the cooker today to cook chili for six. It worked flawlessly and seems to be typical Calphalon quality.

My first Slow Cooker, ever: Bought and received about 10 days ago and I am already hooked. What a great machine and, moreover, stable equipment! Incredibly easy to cook and clean, and at a most decent price for the quality that Calphalon offers. Loved it so much that I returned online to purchase one for my sister. I've reviewed less expensive and more expensive slow cookers, and am convinced I choose the right one. Now I'm looking to purchase an even bigger one for family gatherings and the like. Simply LOVE this cooker!
